I’m a Senior Product Designer based in California.
I enjoy creating end-to-end experiences with the user in mind while making sure projects meet business goals. After defining the problem, I value user research to validate design decisions and build solutions based on customer feedback and data. I chase opportunities for collaboration and brainstorming (Figjam all day, every day) with engineers, product managers, customer success, and other like-minded individuals!
I have over eight years of professional experience, and along with my daily work, I tackle writing about design challenges, speaking at workshops and webinars, and mentoring other designers. My interests include the following:
Accessible and inclusive design
Design systems
Building experiences for non-profit and humanitarian-based organizations
Product strategy/leadership

November 2021 - December 2022
As Senior Product Designer at TruePlan, I led efforts to build the “North Star” vision of the Recruiting Hub and other feature releases. With this product, our recruiting managers, talent acquisition, and human resource leaders will have an efficient and streamlined process for hiring candidates for their companies. I worked closely with our CX team to understand the voice of the customer and how features could fit into the product roadmap and business goals.
In addition to my role as a product designer, I contributed to the design system and marketing visual design work for the blog and website.
Notable projects include:
✐ Pivot Table Functionality (or Project Ross :D iykyk) - A feature where our finance personas and budget owners can quickly analyze and summarize the employee ledger, which includes planned headcount and dollar values.✐ Recruiter Capacity - A feature for recruiting leaders and managers to quickly get insight into how their teams perform quarterly and yearly. March 2020 - November 2021
As part of Twilio’s acquisition of Sendgrid, I joined Twilio’s design team in March 2020.
Team: Programmable Voice
My role was to scale and iterate on Twilio’s Programmable Voice product by pairing with product managers and UX researchers to find pain points and critical areas for improvement based on customer feedback. The main features I worked on were IVR (Interactive Voice Responses), Global Conferencing, Call Logs, and Voice Insights.Notable project:
✐ Conference Insights Dashboard - I was part of the end-to-end design experience to craft a dashboard where customers can have an account-level view of conference and participant behavior and quickly diagnose issues related to their conferences.

Team: Marketing Design System (Match)
I was a lead contributor (and one of the founding members!) of Twilio’s marketing design systems team to bring visual cohesion and accessibility to Twilio’s website product/other branding projects. By crafting components and page templates and conducting user research, I helped bring efficiency when building and editing branded content. The design system was primarily adopted by the marketing engineering and design team.Notable projects include:
✐ Benchmark Research Survey - I conducted a 3-part benchmarking survey with internal and external users to discover targeted areas for improvement across twilio.com.✐ Code Component Research - One of the most complex components I designed was the code component, used throughout twilio.com on pages displaying code snippets, documentation articles, and blog posts. To ensure it would bconsiderably impactthe website experience, I conducted 1:1 interviews with primarily technical users to observe if they could perform various functions.

May 2019 - March 2020
sendgrid.com (Twilio acquired SendGrid)
As part of the website team at Sendgrid, I designed unique features and informational pages to help customers find the product, plan, and resources needed to enhance their email experience. My specific role was centered around UI/Visual Design to ensure the website product was visually pleasing and accessible and that users could quickly find information and resources applicable to their needs.
The entire team was involved in thinking through the ROI for every suggested/planned website feature while estimating the value it could bring to the business.
Notable projects include:
✐ Complete Website Refresh - I contributed to the new branding, formalized the design system, and designed "tiered" pages for a more thoughtful approach to how customers can efficiently find the product information they are looking for.✐ Email Template Gallery - I created over 40 unique email templates where users could download and edit content using SendGrid's Marketing Campaigns product. The template gallery inspires customers while showcasing the various custom editing capabilities of the marketing tool.
✐ Marketing Campaigns Product Tour - I designed a knowledge base of over ten custom videos, helping users understand how to make the most of SendGrid's marketing product.

April 2017 - December 2018
LinkedIn Company Page (as of December 2018, all operations and projects at Firmament have ended)
Firmament was a creative agency that developed brands, campaigns, websites, videos, and print collateral for purpose-driven organizations.
As a product designer at Firmament, I contributed to projects for companies globally — which included Kidspiration TV (United Kingdom), cullen+them (New York), and Saukhyam Pads (India).
One of the aspects I would like to highlight while working at Firmament was my willingness to learn new skills to bring additional value to projects and the company. There was an opportunity for me to create animated social media posts and videos, so I quickly learned the skills needed, using Adobe After Effects and Media Encoder to complete the required tasks.
I also served as a project manager on multiple projects to ensure timely project delivery and to bridge the communication between Firmament and the companies we worked with.

February 2016 - May 2019
As a freelance product designer, I worked for companies and agencies such as Apple, Intuit, Akamai, and Tangible UX.
I led project kickoffs with project managers and product owners to identify problems and customers affected and craft the first draft of a PRD (product requirements document). I worked with research teams to create user personas and journey maps and had the excellent opportunity to manage 5-10 engineers across the globe and in different time zones.
I was the lead (or solo) designer to complete the final UI designs based on initial customer research and data. For most projects, companies invited me to continue research post-launch to make feature-based iterations.
Beyond the product, I also enjoyed contributing to more visual design-based projects such as social media posts, brand illustrations, and other collateral.
While I do not currently take on freelance projects, I continue to volunteer and do pro bono design work for Embracing the World (an NGO with Special Consultative Status to the United Nations).
